The 2026 Little League World Series bracket is the roadmap every fan, parent, and player tracks from the first pitch in Williamsport to the final out on August 30. Twenty teams arrive with the same goal: reach the championship game and win the title.
The bracket is split into two sides that run in parallel. Ten US regional champions compete on the American side. Ten international qualifiers compete on the global side. Both sides follow the same format and produce one finalist each for the championship game.
This guide explains exactly how the bracket works, which teams fill each side, and what fans should watch for as the tournament unfolds across Howard J. Lamade Stadium and Little League Volunteer Stadium this summer.

How the Double-Elimination Format Works
The LLWS bracket uses double elimination through the early rounds. Every team begins in the winner's bracket. One loss moves a team into the elimination bracket. A second loss ends their tournament. No exceptions.
The format gives teams a second chance after an early stumble. A team that loses game one still has a clear path back to the championship. That structure makes every game meaningful and rewards consistency over a full week of competition.
One bad inning or one tough opponent does not automatically end a team's championship hopes. The double-elimination structure rewards teams that recover and keep winning under pressure.
The Four Phases of the 2026 LLWS Bracket
The bracket moves through four distinct phases from opening day to the championship weekend. Each phase tightens the field and raises the stakes for every team still competing.
United States Bracket — Ten Regional Champions
The US side of the bracket features one champion from each of the ten Little League regional tournaments. Every state and territory in the country feeds into one of these ten regions, and only the regional winner earns a place in Williamsport.
- Great Lakes
- Metro
- Mid-Atlantic
- Midwest
- Mountain
- New England
- Northwest
- Southeast
- Southwest
- West
- Asia-Pacific
- Australia
- Canada
- Caribbean
- Europe & Africa
- Japan
- Latin America
- Mexico
- Panama
- Curaçao
The two sides of the bracket do not cross until the championship game. US teams only play other US teams until one side champion remains. The same rule applies to the international bracket. That separation keeps the championship match meaningful as a true global final.
The Path to the Championship Game
Winning the Little League World Series requires surviving multiple rounds across more than a week of competition. Teams on the winner's bracket path need fewer wins, but any single loss forces them onto the elimination side with no margin remaining.
When Will the 2026 LLWS Bracket Be Released?
The official bracket is finalized after every regional tournament concludes and all 20 qualifiers are confirmed. Regional championships typically wrap in early August, shortly before the tournament opens.
Once all teams are confirmed, Little League International announces the opening-round matchups. The bracket and full game schedule will be posted at LittleLeague.org/WorldSeries. Coverage of every confirmed team and first-round matchup will also appear at LittleLeagueWorldBaseball.com throughout the summer.
